ECHO RECEIVER
Echo Receiver hears what others have been trained to ignore. Every transmission. Every contradiction. Every carefully repeated harmful lie disguised as societal progress. While the rest of society absorbs the signal without question, he studies it. He compares it to history, science, behavior, and the direction of the world around him.
That is why they call him unstable. Demonize him. Diminish him. Speak over him. Anything... but actually listen to him. His own people dismiss him. His family talks over him. The obedient ridicule him. Every warning is treated as paranoia, every objection as aggression, and every refusal to conform as proof that something is wrong with him. And when he loses his patience, it only validates their fallacies of thought.
But Echo Receiver knows what he heard, and he knows what is true. He knows that a society can be socially engineered without realizing it. He knows that people will defend the forces manipulating them and attack the person trying to break the transmission. He knows that ridicule is often easier than admitting you were deceived. Most of all, he knows how the kettle likes to call the pot black.
So he keeps broadcasting. Not because they thank him. Not because they believe him. Because they are still his people, even when they are the ones demonizing him.
Echo Receiver is the one who stands his ground while the entire room tells him to kneel. He carries their misguided labels. He survives the mockery. He develops a skin thick enough to withstand the hatred of the very people he is trying to protect. He doesn’t crumble under every perceived insult, like they do, or under the weight of the world’s problems, like them. They call it madness because they live in a comfortable bubble. He calls it reception.
